Sabine Gauch | Mixed Media Artist | Germany

Hey,

great to have you here!
I'm Sabine Gauch and for me, art is pure joy and vitality.

After many years working in hospitality, events, and marketing, I reignited my creative passion in 2020. Since then, I’ve been continuously exploring and refining my techniques and forms of expression.

I draw inspiration from travel, nature, and the small everyday wonders. I love playing with colors and textures to create art that moves people, sparks joy, and brings spaces to life.

Since 2022, I’ve been exhibiting my work regularly and am grateful for the positive feedback. It encourages me to keep going. Maybe one of my pieces will soon find a place in your home too?

I live and work in Stuttgart with my family.

Artist Statement

"My work is an expression of joy, curiosity, and a playful engagement with materials. I combine acrylic painting with collage elements, integrating a wide range of media such as charcoal, pencil, pastel, markers, and spray paint. Through the layered use of these techniques, I create visual depth that invites associations and opens up new perspectives.

The creative process is intuitive. I work impulsively with color, shape new compositions from found objects, and allow the process itself to guide me, always open to the unexpected. Out of initial ideas, works emerge organically, characterized by their dynamic presence and emotional complexity.

I draw inspiration from travel, the visual diversity of urban life, and the often overlooked details of our surroundings - typography, packaging design, old letters, or vintage magazines from flea markets. These impressions shape my visual language and turn each piece into an invitation to explore.

My goal is to create art that goes beyond decoration, art that evokes emotion, sparks visual impulses, and offers space for personal interpretation. Vibrant, powerful, and authentic."

My credo

"Art only becomes interesting when we are faced with something that we cannot fully explain right away."

- Christoph Schlingensief
